"You have shown our young people a new art, something different from the norm and helped them to broaden their minds to trying new opportunities and in the simplest of terms try something new, have a go and open themselves up to learning in new ways. It was great to see so many smiles and visible self pride in the young people that took part."

We teach regularly in a variety of school, college and community environments throughout Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire as the Capoeira Youth Organisation (CYO). Our focus in CYO projects is on using Capoeira games and training to promote:
Co-operative game play and team work A positive attitude towards learning Self-discipline and mutual respect Fitness and co-ordination Creativity, self-confidence and social skills Musicality and rhythm First-hand experience of cultural diversity, including speaking another language
