Wednesday time change
Because of traffic issues related to the closure of Clifton Bridge, we have decided to change our Wednesday class times to as follows.
General class: 7-8.30pm
This will help people travelling from the other side of Nottingham to make it to class on time.
If you have any questions, get in touch. These changes are in force from now on.

This is a special deal for April only, so... GET INVOLVED!

Drop-in £9 (concessions £6)
Ten class card: £65 (concessions £50)*
* From July, adult Ten class cards will only be available to group members. See below.
For years we had an annual membership scheme, but two years ago we scrapped it. This year, after much discussion at our group meetings, it has been decided that it will be reimplemented for students aged 18+.
Group membership will cost £25 (£20 concessions) a year, with which you will get a group black t-shirt every time, plus access to the ten class card.
Membership is due on the 1st of July.
You don't need to get the membership (you can still pay drop-in rates and come as you normally do) but if you are aged 18+, then membership WILL save you money, through the ten class card (plus a nice clean t-shirt to enjoy!).
No one aged 17 or younger requires group membership to access the monthly or ten class card discounts.
How to join our group
You are welcome to join our classes at any time of the year. Get in touch if you have any queries.
Alternatively, we run a Beginners Course twice a year. To find out when the next one is, join our mailing list.
On Saturday 28th March we will be running a one-off Acrobatics Practice class.
Taking place after the main class, from 2-3.30pm, this session is for everyone. We will have both of our inflatable tumble tracks out, and lots of crash mats.
This class will cost the same as a normal class, or can be part of a ten class card.
The session will be a great chance for everyone to practice moves in a safe environment, in preparation for our Batizado!
It will be a "free practice" session, meaning that it won't be a structured learning class, although, there will be lots of experienced Capoeira people there, so the idea will be to pick each other's brains, in an atmosphere of sharing and support.
Saturday 28th March
We are excited to announce the dates for this year's big event... the Batizado!
Friday 1st May-Sunday 3rd May 2020
Save the date!
We are also happy to announce our special guest... Mestre Chicote from CDO Paris!
But what is the Batizado? It is our annual event where you can grade (getting your first or next Capoeira belt), take part in workshops in Capoeira (and more) from inspirational visiting guest teachers, and see some fantastic Capoeira being played too. Oh, and there is a party on the Saturday night.
The event is for everyone, beginners included.
If you have any questions about getting involved, just ask. Otherwise, more info about guests, timetable and prices will be announced very soon.
Have a look at some highlights from last year's below...
We have a group meetings on the first Saturday of each month, at 2pm, at the International Community Centre.
